In Circles 2.0 groups are a critical new feature.
Groups allow many configurations but in its simplest form a group allows all its members to convert their individual CRC into more fungible and potentially more liquid “group CRC”.
The supply of someones personal CRC is restricted by their ability to just mint 1 CRC/h while a group with potentially thousands or millions of member can reach a much higher total supply of that currency.
To set up your own group you will need to:
- Have an Wallet (Metamask/Rabby) with an account that holds minimal amount of xDAI on Gnosis Chain
- https://app.aboutcircles.com/
- Select “Use Safe”
- This will now load all Safes that have your connected account as an owner. To manage a group ideally you create a fresh Safe first and then (+) to create a group
6) If the group was sucefully created you should find it on: https://explorer.aboutcircles.com/
7) Click on the group → Contacts → Manage Member
8) Group Checker - search for your group here
If you follow the link below “Base mint handler” it will allow you to send CRC in Metri to the “mint-handler” - this will mint 1155 group tokens.
